GreenLeaf Technology Solutions Company Limited is a wholly Tanzanian-owned engineering and technology company, incorporated in 2012 under the Companies Act 2002. What began as an award-winning proposal in the Lighting Rural Tanzania Competition has grown into a multi-disciplinary contractor registered in five distinct categories with the Contractors Registration Board.
Our flagship achievement is the development and operation of hybrid solar-and-wind mini-grids in Kilwa District, Lindi Region — supplying reliable electricity to households and institutions in Nanjirinji and Kilwa Kisiwani villages. Today GreenLeaf is scaling its impact through the supply and installation of Solar Home System kits nationwide.

Milestones That Built GreenLeaf
- 2012 — Founder's proposal wins the Lighting Rural Tanzania Competition (LRTC2012); GreenLeaf incorporated on 13 December 2012.
- 2014 — LRTC2012 solar installations completed for 7 schools and 6 health centres; wins LRTC2014 mini-grid award for two Kilwa villages.
- 2017 — Awarded Results-Based Financing (RBF) mini-grid grant.
- 2019 — First customers connected to the mini-grids.
- 2020 — Nanjirinji hybrid mini-grid officially commissioned on 17 May 2020 by Hon. Deputy Minister Subira Mgalu.
- 2023 — CRB registration completed across five contractor categories.
- 2026 — Scaling Solar Home System kit supply nationwide.
